This new cartridge is designed for converting to diamond tooling.   Easily installed with simply drilling two holes in your flycutter body ( one for the shanks, and a side hole for a set screw).  Order 2 cartridges; one negitive rake and one positive rake.  Install them oppisite of themselves to natually balance out the flcutter.  It is recommened to balance your finished DIY flycutter on a flywheel/crankshaft balancer once cartriges are installed. 
 
Neg Rake CBN and PCD Can be used in this cartridge.  CBN for Cast Iron, PCD for Aluminum.
Will Not Accept Positive Rake Insterts.  Use Positive Rake Cartrige to surface Bi-Metal with our Postive Rake CBN Insert, and also our Positive Rake PCD Insert for Aluminum.  
 
Aluminm can be surfaced with Negative rake or Positve Rake PCD.  For higher shine, Positive Rake seems to be the champion between the two, but for decades neg rake PCD was industry standard for surfacing aluminum.
 
When using PCD, only cut aluminum parts.  Use CBN Positive Rake if any steel, cast iron, or other metals that are in the aluminum when cutting.  For instance, sleeves or valve seats; you would use Positive Rake CBN.
